Government Relations – UGA 756 (1940, Category 2). The Government Relations office is housed in a former residence located at 198 Waddell Street at the southwest corner of the character area. Raised on a brick base, the one-story wood framed building has a complexity of forms. The central form is a rectangular core with an elongated pyramidal roof. To this a series of extensions project, front and back; some may be original and others additions. Vinyl siding has been installed over the original wood exterior siding. Window sills and frames have been clad in aluminum, and sash have been replaced. The building’s original porch, front door, and French doors on the side remain. The building otherwise retains good overall integrity although modified, and appears to contribute to a National Register-eligible historic district. It is assessed as a Category 2 resource.
